The problem
Many customers, especially beginners or those new to cycling, feel overwhelmed by the wide range of options available online and lack the guidance needed to make informed purchasing decisions. They may struggle to understand which type of bike or accessory best suits their needs and preferences.
The goal
The primary goal is to address the lack of expert guidance for customers browsing and purchasing bikes and accessories on our ecommerce platform. By providing comprehensive and personalised guidance, we aim to enhance the overall shopping experience, increase customer satisfaction, and drive sales.

User research: Pain points.

Wireframes
Using wireframes, I put my ideas on paper first and then started to make high-fidelity wireframes. I also started to work on digital wireframes for additional screen sizes to make sure the site would be fully responsive.
UI Design
After finalising the low-fidelity prototype, I worked on creating the final designs with the goal of making them simple and intuitive. The main colour theme I used was green because it’s a colour that symbolises nature, loyalty, and strength. I thought it was very representative of the subject of bikes.

Next steps & takeaways
The design strategy included an efficient concept design that increases task efficiency multifold, and improves engagement with the application.
The retail store has ensured its potential for future growth with a scalable and secure solution that has streamlined the stores inventory management operations.
There are some areas I would do differently next time:
Perform A/B testing to determine the more effective option
Expand user outreach for interviews and testing
